Okay. I was just up on the deck? That's fucked up.

Why make a starship look like a boat? A regular old boat? How is that supposed to make people more comfortable. This is about the ponciest of white collar prisons I've ever seen, and that's a hell of a way to prevent escapes? But this is a goddamn boat in space. If there was any level of "at ease" that was supposed to happen with that, I think it missed the mark.

The view is pretty, though, even if it doesn't make any sense.

[She clears her throat after that introduction.]

My name is Jeryline. [No last name added.] Your Admiral, in a miracle of cosmic intelligence, has seen fit to make me a warden. [Something in her tone says this is really funny to her. The stuff she's gotten roped into lately has been a little bit beyond even her wildest expectations.] I would kind of like to get a rundown of how things work here. [Because last time she got a "stab them in the eyes" and "they can't get past the blood" and whatever she saw. She has a lot of memories that aren't hers, but she would have liked some more explanations, thank you.]

From what I gathered, someone fucked up, he or she does not know that there was a fuck up, I'll have to point out to them how they fucked up until they realize they fucked up and won't fuck up again, and then I can go back home, right?

Yeah, loops. Breaches, floods, ports, the usual jailhouse shenanigans amped up to eleven, "fictional" characters not being so fictional, things that go bump in the night for neighbors, and uh, oh yeah. People disappear a lot. Usually without any kinda warning, but that's the fun of it.

[He shrugs at the end, like none of it is any big deal.]

People disappear from the space boat?

[You can hear all of her enthusiasm about all the possibilities that might come with that. Damn, Admiral. This deal? Had better be worth it.] So, there's no water. I think I can figure out what a port is- [and if it's what she thinks it is, that might not be so bad] -but breaches and floods?

Yup. [Have some of the same enthusiasm back, then, with a tight, crooked smirk.]

No, there's no water, I think someone was just being ironic. Or a moron. In any case, when breaches happen, everyone changes into... someone or something else, until it's all cleaned up and put back to normal. We were all actors on a set one time. First one when I got here was some kinda Hallmark holiday special; last one, everyone was stuck in the '40s. It varies.

Does every one of these turn you into something else? Wait. Hallmark holiday special.

[All the disbelief.]

Every breach does. And sometimes people forget who they are during ports. The rest seems to just be... you, but different.

[Anyone else would probably take it for fantastic license; Dean, though. He sees how she's serious about it whether or not others will be, overly familiar with that himself from her side of it. But he, too, finds his reflex is to make certain of it before he goes spilling his guts to some stranger. So even though these days he doesn't really bother hiding what the Winchester family business is, he still raises an eyebrow at her, smile fading into perfect facsimile of confusion.\

Yeah. That'd be worse. [She's inclined to agree. But not say too much more about it. It seems like there are people here that won't call her crazy for talking about demons, though.]
