[Jeryline has still been gone a while, but when she turns on her camera the top of her cat's ears are in the picture where it's sitting in her lap and she's looking annoyed.]

I don't even wanna know what I missed. [A beat] No, I'm lyin'. I do wanna know. But it's taken me a while to come back, but as it turns out I'm sorta wanted in New Mexico. [And she had more than cops coming after her.]

Lookin' back on the network, it doesn't look like I was gone too long. Long enough for the Barge to go through a karaoke universe? Get a rock opera spell cast on it? Whatever the actual source of the floods are, I don't fuckin' know.

Thank you. [She tossles a hand through it. It's been trouble to take care of, but as if keeping up with dyeing it wasn't? Changing her appearance radically kept the cops off her trail, anyway.]

I'm the first Demon Knight that's a woman. All the other ones before me have been men. I'd ask her about it if she was around, but- [she shrugs] I don't get outa the fate thing so easily.

There is still Faith, she's another Slayer. She runs the bar, she's a friend. [ That last bit sounds a bit unsure, he's been avoiding a lot of his friends now that news is out that he's an alcoholic. He doesn't really want to face Faith, knowing how she feels about drunks.] She's no Buffy but she can be o' help.

And shit man, I'd be proud o' that one if I was you. Bein' the first woman to hold such power means whoever chooses thought pretty damn high o' you. And the stars, you did. Pretty, if not for their meanin'.

I don't know if it's a long term fate or just somethin' that comes up when those stars line up, though. I don't know if I'd still be cleanin' ovens or travellin' the world. It's somethin' I woulda taken on, I think, but I wish a lot less killin' had been tied up in it.

[She reflexively squeezes that hand shut, before she leans forward and puts her chin on her hands.]

I guess I shouldn't get onto you for thinkin' heavy when I do it too, sometimes. [A slight quirk of her mouth, and a can't of her head. She's had a whole lot on her mind, even more than this.]

...Wait, how are there two Slayers if there's supposed to be one? Is she one that died before another one?

From what I understand Buffy died but was revived a minute or two later, but the revival didn't count since she was dead. This made another Slayer awaken. Angel explained it once but I'd had a few shots that night so some of the details are a touch sketchy. These books [ He motioned to the Watchers Guides.] Are all written by the Watchers of former slayers, boring as shit but it's something never mentioned that Ive found yet. Two slayers at once.

It's understandable. [ he sat the map down on the table and leaned back a bit crossing his arms.] destiny never really leaves you with a lot o' choices but I think when the time comes you'll know what to do.

[ He looked back over to her then thoughtful a moment.] Maybe we should just agree to tell each other them dark thoughts we hide rather then the rest o' the people on this boat. I'd surely not judge you for any thoughts.

Demons where I'm from promise you things if you can do somethin' for them. A big part of doin' this is being able to say no, because they'll offer you something you really want back. Now, usually they're lying; once they have your soul, it doesn't matter if they deliver or not. You won't care and your body get corrupted by some low-level jackass.

[She looks a little distant for the moment.]

When I took the deal here, I was pretty sure it wasn't the same kinda deal. We don't have any kinda guarantee what kind of man the Admiral actually is.

I always figure I can back out at the last minute. You guys can graduate yourselves if your close enough, and my plan B... [She looks disappointed again, this time in herself. It's half cowardly, but also the best idea she has for making sure the demons don't get the key because she's just one woman.] ...my plan B is to get someone else to take the key back to their universe, so there's no chance of the demons ever gatherin' up the keys.

Dean's mentioned demons like that before. My world doesn't have one's like that, ours tend to be more just monsters that pray on humans but are their own creatures a lot have their own realms and such too, I mean what it sounds like your demons are is more a telepathic linked type, once the soul's bought you become their slave kind of deal. Which granted vampires in my world lose their souls and a lot of demons don't have a soul to start with. [ he looked thoughtful a moment.] I wonder if the Soul has a connection to it all.

I can agree there, none seem to know but from what I understand there have been people to leave and come back and everything seemed kosher, so I'd not worry too much I think he's a creature of his word. granted I also think he's a higher power then some monster.

Love. [ he spoke a bit more firmly.] The demons wont get your key, you wont let them. I can tell your no push over. Keep a little faith, alright? You'll be able to do this.

It could. [She admits.] See, that's part of why I first thought it would be a good idea. I'd be savin' souls, right? But I don't know what the highest of the high ranking demons are like or what the six other keys can do. So I gotta be careful.

But yeah, I'm not plannin' on screwin' up. Now that I'm doin' it, I can't let myself screw up.

[She gets to her feet and shifts the hem of her jacket.] I gotta go at least make sure one person gets their gift while it's still good, but I'll see you 'round?
