[Jeryline has still been gone a while, but when she turns on her camera the top of her cat's ears are in the picture where it's sitting in her lap and she's looking annoyed.]

I don't even wanna know what I missed. [A beat] No, I'm lyin'. I do wanna know. But it's taken me a while to come back, but as it turns out I'm sorta wanted in New Mexico. [And she had more than cops coming after her.]

Lookin' back on the network, it doesn't look like I was gone too long. Long enough for the Barge to go through a karaoke universe? Get a rock opera spell cast on it? Whatever the actual source of the floods are, I don't fuckin' know.

I can at least tell you that throwin' salt in the devil's eyes works. But I didn't have a chance to try much else with it. Cleo straight up hates demons, though. She's a badass little warnin' system.

[She still doesn't have her own car, but she's getting better at car-jacking.] I'll remember that.

Attagirl. [Dean grins, amused and proud by proxy, although he's not exactly pleased to hear she had to tangle with one on her own. Oh well. Practice makes perfect and all that.]

I uh. Actually not that... long ago... I've been here a year, but back home it'll have been about. Four months?

Demon Knights been workin' it for 2000 years now. I can't be the first woman for the job and then dick it up.

You won't. [This as though it's a foregone conclusion, no doubt in him.]

[And, a little bit later, he does knock on her door; he's curious but mostly he doesn't know what to do with gifts, so it's Jeryline he's stopped by to check in on overall.]

Come in. [She calls out. Seriously, she's awful with gifts. She got him a little bottle of California wine. Just a little one, though. Nicely aged and all she could afford, and oh so classilly wrapped so that the paper shows the shape of the bottle and the ribbon is half heartedly tied around the top of the bottle.

She has it in hand when Dean comes in.]

[Dean slides through the door at her invitation, closing it behind him; he keeps an eye out for the cat, just in case, but when he glances up and sees her holding the package he grins. That's his kind of wrapping and even though he's not a wine guy, gifts are rare enough for him still that he's just delighted she thought about him.]

Hey. That looks expensive.

That's why it's a little bottle. If you like it you can ask the Admiral for some more. [She gives him a bit of a cheeky smirk.]

[He's down with that. He grins back at her, in the same spirit.] Well look at you, big spender.
