[Jeryline has still been gone a while, but when she turns on her camera the top of her cat's ears are in the picture where it's sitting in her lap and she's looking annoyed.]

I don't even wanna know what I missed. [A beat] No, I'm lyin'. I do wanna know. But it's taken me a while to come back, but as it turns out I'm sorta wanted in New Mexico. [And she had more than cops coming after her.]

Lookin' back on the network, it doesn't look like I was gone too long. Long enough for the Barge to go through a karaoke universe? Get a rock opera spell cast on it? Whatever the actual source of the floods are, I don't fuckin' know.

[And she doesn't even say good-bye. She rushes right up there because maybe These tacos will make it to him warm. The last ones she ended up eating herself because she got caught in a car chase and it seemed like a bad time to come back to the Barge.

She knocks on the door with her bag hand, two glass bottles of soda in the other, the type with real sugar and metal caps you can buy in some Mexican restaurants.]

[Luckily, he does get her on the list in time, because weird and unpleasant things sometimes happen to people who charge at the door of 7-6 without an invite. Still, he wasn't expecting it to be that fast, and he looks pleasantly surprised when he unlocks the door.] Hey. Come on in.

[Jesse's cabin has changed slightly since he got back: the front is still something between a garage and a workroom, plus the big-screen TV and speakers at the back, but the bed is gone and there's a staircase tucked into the back instead. The walls look half-painted, newspaper still protecting the trim and floors near the edges.]

[She comes in, looking around with a touch of confusion.] Somehow I didn't expect you to have a workshop. What're you buildin'?

[And then comes the dance of looking for a place to set the food down. Which is a very complicated one, as it requires looking at places and gauging whether or not they're forbidden.]

[He shrugs a little sheepishly. He's never really sure what people expect of him, these days, but it always seems to be whatever he isn't.] Just some stuff. If you need anything I can give it a try...

[There is a clear space on the workbench, though, and a side table towards the back. Otherwise, the furnishings are fairly sparse.]

I'll let you know. There's actually somethin' I could use a decoy of if you ever got the time and the resources.

[She likes the idea now that she's thought of it. A few fake keys would make things very difficult.]

What do you mean, a decoy? Like... not of a person, right? [Look, it's a question he has to ask here.]

Oh, no. Also that'd be creepy to have to carry around.

But no. Uh. I got this- [She shows the key around her neck again.] The people that come after me are after this. A replacement to throw 'em off wouldn't go amiss.

Oh. Yeah. But you like never know around here, right? [He cranes his head to look at the key, looking uncertain.] I could give it a try....

Little contributions to save a universe, especially if one of those jerks ends up on board. I heard sometimes friends show up here.

They do. Just usually not at the same time as we do. It's like a swap; it's weird. But if you don't want them to find this, keeping it on you's probably the best idea because of that.

I'm not plannin' to put it down. But being able to do a quick switch might save a lotta skins at some point.

I can definitely try. I dunno if I can promise it'll be perfect... I've never done something like this before. [Which isn't going to stop him from doing it over and over and over again until he's satisfied.]

[She smirks at him.] I'll owe you some more tacos.

I can roll with that. [He brightens, looking down at what she's brought with her.] Speaking of which...
